You might be able to, if there is also liquid in the recipe. If the recipe calls for 1/4 cup of water and 2 tablespoons of dry milk, you could just use 1/4 cup of milk and no water. Be sure to add it where it says to add the water, not where it says to add the dry milk, since bread machines require the wet and dry ingredients be added in a specific order.

I believe the normal ratio of water to dry milk when using milk powder to make milk is 3:1, so the flavor of the bread may differ from the recipe if that doesn't work out with the substitution shown above.

Certainly, just replace the dired milk powder and the water with an equivalent amount of milk.

The benefit to using dried milk is that it won't go sour if you are using the timer feature and the machine is loaded with ingredients several hours in advance.

I have found that the recipes mean what they say.
