This is a riddle that goes back to the days that women were very rarely doctors, it no longer works today because it is common to find female doctors and because the riddle is so old most people have heard it.

this joke may have been relevant 40 years ago or so when most of the doctor's were men, but these days there are more women graduation from medschool than men, so it's just too obvious now.
