Enoch was a prophet of the true God. He foretold the execution of the wicked thus making himself an enemy to those he preached to. Jehovah did not allow his opposers to kill his faithful servant, so he "took him" that is, cut short his life at the age of 365. He was much younger than those who lived at that time. Jehovah transferred Enoch so that he did not see death. What does this mean? It is likely that Enoch was put into a prophetic trance and then God ended his life so that he did not experience the pangs of death. Jehovah would have ended Enoch's life in a merciful way.
Enoch did not go to heaven, since no one went to heaven before Jesus did. As in the case of all faithful ones who died before Jesus came to earth, Enoch is still sleeping in death and is awaiting a resurrection back to life here on a paradise earth.

Enoch was a prophet whom God took to be with Him before he died.
Jude 1:14 It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, "Behold, the Lord came with ten thousands of his holy ones, 15 to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him."
There is an extra-biblical book called the Book of Enoch where this quote was taken from. It's an interesting book. In it the author says that the evil demonic spirits who roam the earth came from the offspring of fallen angels and human women whom they took for wives. After they died there was no place found for them in Heaven or in Sheol, the place of the dead, and they are doomed to wander the earth until God creates a new Heaven and Earth.

Enoch was the son of Jared and the father of Methuselah. Enoch lived for 365 years. Enoch walked with God and then he was no more, because God took him. (Genesis 5:22-24). In Hebrews 11:5-6, it states that "Enoch was taken so that he did not experience death." For it was attested before he was taken away that "He had pleased God." And without faith, it is impossible to please God, for whoever would approach Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him. In Jude, verse14, a prophecy from Enoch is recorded about the future, saying that the Lord will come with thousands of His Holy Ones, to execute judgment on all.

The biblical record shows that, early in the account spoken of in the Bible, only a few people decided to obey God. However, early patriarchs including Abel, Enoch and Noah did respond to the revelation of God's plan of salvation (Matthew 23:35). After the great flood of Noah's time, God found He could work with Abraham and his wife, Sarah. Of God's obedient people of those times, Hebrews 11:13 says they "all died in faith" with the sure knowledge that they would gain eternal life (verse 40).
Some people believe Genesis 5:24 and Hebrews 11:5 declare that God took Enoch to heaven. But is that what these verses say?
Genesis 5:24 tells us that "Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him." Hebrews 11:5 adds: "By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, 'and was not found, because God had taken him'; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God."
Neither scripture tells us how or where God took him, only that He did. Did God take Enoch to heaven? Clearly not, because Jesus Himself said that "no one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man ..."
Further, Hebrews 11 lists many faithful men and women of the Bible (including Enoch) but concludes that "all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise ..." (verse 39). Obviously, then, Enoch neither ascended to heaven nor received
the promised eternal life.
So what did happen to Enoch? Genesis 5:23 makes it clear that Enoch ultimately did die: "So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years." He lived 365 years and no more. He isn't still alive and walking with God. The expression "all the days" is used of eight other people in this same chapter-all of whom obviously died.
Hebrews 11:5 tells us Enoch was "taken away." The same Greek word refers to the remains of the patriarch Jacob being "carried" from Egypt (where he had died) to Shechem, where he was later buried.
The Scriptures simply do not reveal all the details of what happened to Enoch. They do record, however, that Elijah, in a similar manner, was physically removed by a fiery chariot only to die later (see "Did Elijah Go to Heaven?,"). Also, God instructed Moses to go to the top of Mount Nebo to die-apparently alone (Deuteronomy 32:48-50). Then God buried his body where it would not be found (Deuteronomy 34:5-6), possibly to prevent the grave site from being made into an idolatrous shrine. Something similar might have happened to Enoch.

Enoch was one of the direct descendants of Adam & Eve, who tried to live a rightous life before the flood and tower of babel problems as genese says he walked with God and god caught him up alive rather then him face death as an example to later Generations in the end times showing from the first time period after the fall of man that it still could've been done. he will return during the tribulation with Elijah as the two witnesses for God's Kingdom in Jerusalem as they haven' died yet and they will be slain and left to lay three days in the streets or on display and then reserected and caught up again.

arrrgh!!!
why do you people not read the WHOLE bible???
In Hebrews 11, it says "these all DIED", Enoch was one of the "all" that it refers to.
Enoch didn't SEE death, he never saw anyone die.
That's what it means. Stop for one second and study the bible, as the Bereans did, rather than repeating things you were taught.
The devil said "you shall NOT surely die", same lie christianity teaches today. Why?
