The front bumper covers that you're finding everywhere are the part you see when you look at the exterior of the car. The actual bumper is the metal and/or fiberglass piece that's attached to the front of the chassis that receives the impact from any front impact. The actual bumper is probably going to be a little more difficult to locate. I’d suggest doing a little more research online since they are available, just not in as much abundance as the covers. Try searching for front bumper reinforcers, I’m not positive that’s what you’re looking for, but I can across that term during the quick search I did. Also, you could try asking people in a mustang forum online, and checking out your local junk yard couldn’t hurt. Good luck.

I think what you are looking for is the front reinforcement, this is the part under the front cover and is the actual bumper.

I assume you've tried Ebay...I had gotten a rear metal bumper for mine, and was a 1994 mustang. Good luck.

you may consistently use bolts particularly of the rivets, my door handles have been riveted on. Ford and maximum production us rivets as they're greater much less high priced to make! only drill them out, this is the least confusing, you may grind them!
