What would you sue them for? They are not forcing you to play.

You can't sue on-line poker sites because they are outside the USA. If you could sue a poker site it would be very difficult to make a case because they are heavily regulated in the countries they live in. You've probably lost some money playing poker on-line and are blaming the site rather than your decision making process which either led you to gamble with money you couldn't afford to lose or simply making mistakes while playing. Either way get some help.

It is illegal to operate an online poker site in the USA if you allow real money play.

Other poker sites operate outside of American jurisdiction, and are completely legitimate foreign companies operating completely within the legal system of the countries in which they are based.

In theory you could sue them, but to what end? It would be like me suing a coffee shop in Amsterdam for selling weed.

America may be the richest country in the world, but that doesn't mean we can decide everything that goes on in the entire world.

The only reason there is problem with online poker, is because the American government opted to offer prohibition to its people as opposed to regulation and taxation.

If you read the press releases of the sites you can see that they don't believe they are illegal if they still allow US players http://www.ultimatepokerbankroll.com/article.php/internet-gambling-ban-poker-sites-status the ones there that are allowing US players are the only ones that possibly could be sued, since the ones banning US players are in compliance with the law.

But given the vagueries of US online gaming laws, and the fact these sites are in jurisdictions overseas where they are legal I doubt you'd ever be able to sue them.

I own the poker room at http://www.im4poker.com - its a free poker room and gives away free prizes. I have looked into it and there is nothing illegal about it as long as we do not have real money play on it. So for all you poker players who dont play real money anymore, this is what ya can do now if you still want to play for free things.

If they were illegal, there wouldn't be so many of them. And no, you cannot sue them. Don't be a sore loser. Just stay away from them.
