Do you think there is nothing wrong with something even though god says it's wrong. Like Homosexuality, or having to wear the Hijab? Or do you change your own beliefs to conform with gods?

There are a whole lot of rules in religion that I don't like. I was tormented night and day over the betrayal to my friends and loved ones of such things. Then I realized that god does not really care for us if we have to condemn one another.

I think it is wrong to pigeonhole your belief system to a existing religion. I have always given much thought to religion, and have come out athiest. That said, happiness is a relative thing. Some people feel happiest wearing a Hijab, or in the past, sacrificing themselves to Gods. While I personally think both of these acts is foolish, as long as it makes these individuals more happy, I don't think why you should take other people's happiness away from them as long as they haven't influenced your day to day activities or well being in general.

I'm a non practicing catholic and I very rarely go to church anymore.
There are some statements in the catholic religion that says:
Premarital sex is a sin, Abortion is a sin, Gays is a sin, etc....
I disagree with all of it. I am a spiritual person but I'm not a religious zealot like my mom.
Also, you will find people who are very religious and they get mad if you don't believe in their religion or you are a bad person to them if you don't believe in God and they start debating and criticing you. Stay away from them even if they are your family or friends.
I judge people on how they behave. I don't judge people because of their religion or beliefs. I'd rather be friends with someone who is atheist who are always kind and always giving a helping hand to someone, than a person who is very religious and verbally abuses their children because they don't say their prayers 30 times a day.

I have no idea. I can best seem at it from evangelical christianity, which in essence isn't a record of laws (although many, regrettably, deal with it that method, it isn't the purpose of the Gospel). Christianity is supposed to be extra of a dating than a record of laws, so for that reason, distinct Christians could comply with distinct "laws". The primary factor is they percentage a dating with God via Christ and they mirror His fundamental values. We absolutely are not able to overlook His values. On the opposite hand no Christian wholly displays the ones values, so in a way, each one is "breaking the foundations" so as to talk. And that's an essential facet of our religion! We are living via the sacrifice of Christ for our sins. That is the relevant "rule". Didn't relatively imply to deliver you a theological treatise, right here, however it is the closest I can get to answering your query.

I think it is important to remember that "religion" is a human invention. It is how we organize ourselves around the sacred texts that we believe tell us what God wants us to know. Some people seek to be the interpreters. These people assume positions of power and authority and tell us what we ought to believe. Somewhere in the process is the individual believer. She or he can either buy the whole package, letting others tell them what God wants, or, they can be very independent and try to talk to God directly, trusting in their own goodness and common sense. I prefer the direct approach and I find that very often it challenges me to change how I think, just as sometimes it confirms me in being compassionate toward all persons.

There are a whole bunch of rules that I can't stand. So I left my religion. I'm much better off for it. The world can be a much better place if people shrug off the religious guilt and stick to the basics of morals like repecting each other and other peoples property.

I will ring your doorbell and run away!!!

God doesn't say homosexuality is wrong. Poor translation says that. I have studied hebrew and scripture and the translation is grossly distorted. God probably wouldn't approve of Cartman from South Park either. I know he doesn't approve of hate. If you read the ten commandments and John 3:16, you will see that our God is not a homophobic God.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

1Then God spoke all these words: 2I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery; 3you shall have no other gods before me. 4You shall not make for yourself an image, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me, 6but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments. 7You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name. 8Remember the sabbath day, and keep it holy. 9Six days you shall labor and do all your work. 10But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns. 11For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and consecrated it. 12Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. 13You shall not murder. 14You shall not commit adultery. 15You shall not steal. 16You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. 17You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

they nothing about the weightier matters of the Law, like Judgement and Mercy."
