Have 'em checked by a professional, but if there's plenty o' tread left and no damage to the sidewalls, yes, you'll get a much better price than new!

In general no. However if you know the person, and can verify the amount of wear on the tires, then you might. If they are studded, you should check the laws in your state, as some states prohibit studded tires.
