That guy is totally true, I once was really good friends with this guy and all of a sudden we were going out. The only reason we broke up was because I had to move across the country.

FWBs is a bad idea to pursue with anybody you would consider close. And he is BSing you. Sex is probably a bad starting point for a relationship because you straight away have a relationship that is dependant on sex. A proper relationship should involve some intial boundaries so you can get to know the person a little better. But FWBs that you don't "really" care about are great!

I'd much rather have a FwB than a boyfriend. I want to stay single, but with a FwB, singles get to satisfy their sex drives without being s-luts. (I know, too many S's.) For some people, it is a starting point for a relationship, but if both people have pledged to remain single before then, there's a good chance it won't become more than a FwB situation.

Friends with benefits really benefits only a desire for a physical relationship. One of the people in a relationship like this is usually hoping for it to turn into something more committed. It is usually very complicated and can end with heartache. It is not the typical way to start a relationship. It seems to me that this guy is looking for sex and he is trying to convience you that he will feel more later. I would be VERY cautious. If you want a committed relationship then you should seek it from someone else and not allow yourself to be used.

No way that is BS a guy can figure out if he has feelings for you without sampling the product. I mean you aren't the grocery store trying to get people to buy your product by giving them a little taste to see if they like it or not. The starting point is being friends and then you'll see if you have any feelings from there. Good luck.

If you're single and over 18 I don't think there's anything wrong with it. But if ONE of you is in a committed relationship,( which is usually the case ) then it's probably going to just cause more stress than it's worth.

no way, it's a way for him to get "some" and not make any commitment. Even if both people agree someone will fall for the other and get hurt because the other just wants to keep that way

I LOVE them best idea ever! The benefits are just phenominal, and the more friends you have, the more benefits. Sometimes, you can have double benefits, when you have 2 friends over! ;D

Friends with benefits? GREAT idea, right?!?!?!?!?!?!
Until one of the two starts dating someone else and the other person gets hurt.
My advice? Spare yourself the heartache...
