..drive-by media says it'll come down to it. Liberals seem to wanna stoke this fire, why? Aren't the Israeli's tired of war? Or, since the military brass has changed enough from '99-'00, the previous hezbollah conflict, have they gotten more trigger happy?
I don't support an idea to attack Iran, but its not my call, I just hope wisdom prevails somehow to not steer everything into war.
There could be little doubt that an Israeli attack on Iran would draw U.S. into a webbed war of run and gun battles all over the middle east.

Actually, I could take the liberals out of the equation, still a good question.
All things considered, I stand for Israel to have peace, and prepare for all-out-war to secure it.

I would say, this is the most logical probability. Israel answers to no one, and since Ahmadinejad continues to shoot off his big mouth and threaten Israel with extinction, the probability becomes greater.
Iran is becoming a concern to everyone, including it's Arab neighbors. They all believe that Iran is gaining entirely too much power for one country in the middle east. They prefer more balance, and since they trust the Persians less than the Jews, a few select countries are talking with the Jews, allegedly about this problem.
It's doubtful that Russia or China would intervene. They know the US is a pitt bull when it comes to Israeli defense, therefore they would have too much to lose. Arab country's other than Syria, would probably sit this one out, and Syria hasn't shown itself to be a Martyr for anyone, so at best, it would send it's surrogate, Hezbollah.

Israel is not stupid. They are not worried right now about Iran's nuclear capabilities, as they have none. All of the real, non-Bush estimates say it will be at least 5-8 years before Iran can produce a nuclear warhead, and political winds may change before then. Israel won't strike until just before that capability is reached, much like they did with Iraq---just before Iraq's nuclear powerplant was to come on line, Israel bombed it.
As to others jumping in--not likely nowdays, most countries cannot afford war and Israel's big big brother (USA) won't let anything happen to them, and with no other country as a deterrent to the US, like the Soviet Union was 20 years ago, where any action by the US could have precipitated retaliation by the Soviets. Egypt and Syria were Soviet puppets, they are no longer. What would happen if Israel attacks Iran would be lots more subversive attacks-car bombs, suicide bombs, etc. if anyone over there would notice any difference from day to day life. Israel will not move its large tank divisions to attack Iran, but Iran might send its tanks across Iraq to attack Israel--which would be taken out with our $2 million apiece cruise missles as they march across the sand.

Yes we are tired of wars Each one takes our finest just as it does with American bhoys and girls in Iraq. Let me ask you<"Do you recall or did you read about the Cuban Missle Crises where Kruschev from Russia was moving in Missles with atomic warheads pointed at the USA This was under the Kennedy administration. Kennedy was bold and daring I recall so well, although I was still young listening to him as the world wondered if we were entering into WW3 that he was putting an embargo around Cuba so as to holt their arrival. Kruschev screamed and threatened total war but your wonderful Kennedy held fast until Kruschev backed down. My point is the USA would not live under a threat of missles so why should we.?> In todays paper The Jerusalem Post Ephriam Sneh, omnce head of our army said that an attack by us would be the last thing. Friend, you may care or not care about Israel BUT let me give you this ominous warning if Israel goes down the tube than you will be close behind. God forbid on both issues. Sure Israel needs the USA but believe it or not the USA needs Israel. Point of Information, Not one American soldier ever lost his life fighting for Israel unless he came here to be a citizen

Iran has made it perfectly clear they want the Jews wipe off the face of earth. If you were Israel what would you do? If Iran gets the Nuclear bomb they will get there wish. Does Israeli have any choice? I don't think so.

WWIII has already started with the attack on US soil
of September 11, 2001(9/11/01) and I don't know whether
Israel will strike Iran or not, but if they do, more power to them. The US would go to their aid if Israel asks for it.

Of course we will back Israel, as we continue to do so already. I believe Israel is the recipient of $3 billion in annual funding plus military aid from the U.S.

First of all, we're already in the beginnings of WW lll. The press just isn't calling it that yet. Are the israeli's tired of fighting? You betcha...however it would seem they have no choice given their geographical location and that fact that Muslims can't seem to accept other peoples and religions. And your reference to Liberals is just plain stupid but amusing.

Israel can make a tactical strike with its fighter planes without starting a war. They have hit targets before, and certainly, if they feel threatened by Iran, will do it again.

I hope that they will be reasonable not to go to war.
Israel is not near Iran and if they want to attack they must have the appropriate planes. It is possible that they can do it, but they will have all the Shiites against them
I can not tell more . Hoping that people will think;;;

America will back an Israeli strike, as we don't really want to be the aggressor, but we will help.
