Does anyone not realize that by the end of this mess, if there ever is one, that more Iraqi's will have been killed by this "liberation" than they were under Saddams reign? Also, Iraq did not = 9-11...at least not untill the US gave the terrorists a reason to go into Iraq! It never ceases to amaze me how many sheep there are out there.

There is a lot of difference between claiming to be Christian and actually being one. Many churches blessed the weapons of WWII Germans, while their brethren are doing the same thing here.

Should all the Christians have boycotted World War 2, and let the Nazis take over?
Personally, I feel we are our brothers keepers.
Not helping others will result in takeovers in strategic parts of the world, where millions of Americans have "already" died, so we can travel freely around the world. As well as things like creating refugees, which burden neighboring countries, and eventually, we all feel it!
Don't be so naive.
No government that stays in power only through intimidation, threats, and murder,
should be allowed to operate in our modern world. And if people would stop making
a joke out of everything. The UN could get the power of all the civilized nations to
come down heavily on those corrupt regimes. And put an end to senseless
slaughter.

Xians? Is that a religious X-man or are you too lazy to spell?
The war on terrorism is every ones battle. Terrorists have been killing people here and abroad for decades. The war in Iraq is a part of that thing we call 'self defense'. That is acceptable no matter what kind of 'X' you are.

Those who were already in the service at the time of the Trade Center "bombings" did not have much of a choice. I feel for them...I know a couple who joined the service for the positives they offer (money for college, education, etc.). War was the last thing on their minds.
The ones who joined after the fact...I would attribute it to a rush of adrenaline an hefty dose of cowboyish mentality. Can we say, Good 'ol boys (and girls)? They joined believing that they were fighting for their country when in reality they are fighting for Bush's oil supply.
Make no mistake about it, I love my country. But I detest war and I detest those who support it...at least this time. This is not a war about God or freedom. It's a war over natural resources. What a horrible things to give your life up for.

I am unaware of any Christians who supported the Iraq war "in the name of Christ" and if they did they do depart from Christ's message. I wrote a letter to the editor some time ago, and perhaps you can see why we wanted to remove him:
Saddam was a threat. Mass graves found in Iraq contain nearly 2 million of his own people. Atrocities include beating, electrocuting and mutilating his own people; cutting off hands and ears; cutting out eyes and tongues; urinating on athletes who lost to foreign nations; using hammers to break bones; ripping out fingernails; branding with hot irons; spraying insecticides into eyes; nailing tongues to wooden boards; pouring boiling water into rectums; amputating limbs with chain saws; crucifixion; throwing people into acid baths and ovens; attacking people with wild dogs; raping women in the presence of their children and husbands; pulling teeth with pliers; cutting off private parts; and forcing parents to watch as their child is stripped and stung by hornets and scorpions. People would be put head or feet first through meat graders, sometimes staying alive until only their head and torso remained. Saddam would have these acts filmed and he would watch these videos at night gaining pleasure from it. Saddam used nerve agents against the Kurds, painfully murdering thousands — not against one village, but more than forty villages!
During the Iran-Iraq war, Saddam would fire chemical and biological weapons between the clashing armies, killing over a million people on each side. Saddam would pay an equivalent of twenty-five thousand American dollars to families of Palestinian suicide bombers against Israel as encouragement and reward for terrorism.
On the anniversary of Sept. 11, Saddam called for the formation of suicide squads to kill Americans.
That's why we fight.

Jihad = "Holy War"...There is war in Iraq because they believe in Jihad. They think they are defending their religious rights by killing opposing countries who haven't done anything to them except accuse yet it's not helping your country, is it?
Christians do NOT believe that war is the answer unless you are defending yourself from pure evil. In the Bible, the reason for war is because evil tried to take over the Kingdom of God. It is right to do what you can to save God but to fight for no reason in his name is worse.
Many of you Americans hate what happened in 9/11 and the war right now, however, should hatred be part of your life now? You're not uniting. You're on your couch watching the News and not caring for what is happening. Do want this to go on for years?
Start by lessening suffering to fellow people. Arguing and blaming is already a war in your own terms. Pray to God and everything will be okay as long as you believe in him and in your country's power as well.

I wouldn't say that freeing 29 million people from the clutches of a brutal dictator is against Jesus' teachings.
I wouldn't say that putting an end to the torture and rape rooms in Iraq is against His teachings.
I wouldn't say that making sure Saddam's charming sons can't kill or rape anyone again is contrary to His teachings.
I wouldn't say that taking care of millions of people's medical needs -- which were neglected by above mentioned brutal dictator -- goes against His teachings.
I could go on and on, but you get the idea, hopefully.
In contrast, would you say that standing by and doing nothing while Hussein continues to kill and imprison and persecute is in line with Christian teachings?

I am not an Xtian..... I am a Christian... Christ is in my faith.....
As for the war.... if we see an injustice done and have means to prevent the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of innocents by a tyrant then by all means we should do so. NOT helping others in need is not following the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Christians are much more likely to follow their religious leaders rather than the ministry of Jesus. Christian leaders are hawks; they're paid to be in support of the neocon regime.
