there should ba a chart or something u can look up in the transfering measurment from UK to USA for clothing...maybe like a jcpenny's catologe or something maybe even Ebay

I don't know about the UK, but here in the US, our sizing is not universal. A size 8 for instance, from one manufacturer might fit you, but the same sized dress from another manufacturer might not even be close to fitting you. You really need to try it on before you buy it. Or at least, use a size chart (from the manufacturer of the dress), and err on the large side. That way you can at least have the dress altered if needed. Hope this helps.

I am prettey much the same measurements, 34/27/37. I just bought a dress from nordstrom and it is a size 6.

that is a hard question to answer because you are giving us a dress size from the UK. start on a dress size for what you think you are like a 6. maybe this will help you decide.

From your measurements, US size 6 ought to do it. Although if you can get into a UK size 8, you may even fit into a US size 4. HTH : )

A misses size 6 will be good. A junior size 7 will look good too.

It does depend on the manufacturer. Women have been getting bigger and the manufacturers make their dress size read smaller to convince the women they lost weight or something. My size is 18 when I dress like a women.

You would wear a Misses size 6 or a "small" in the US. If you are a teen and going for Junior sizes, it would be a size 7.
(Misses are even numbers, Junior sizes are odd numbers)

If you buying on line the companies they all having size charts.
You got size 8-10 in UK, this is size 38-40 here in Germany and in US also 8-10.

theres a chart at www.ae.com. click on a shirt and you will see size chart where you would choose your size. you will see a UK section. there is also japan and other countries if that helps.
