Your vet can probably help you if you just give her a call especially if this is the exact same condition it was the last time. No one here can help know the cause for the problem as a vet needs to diagnose and then treat because the cat has a history with the vet.
RioBoy is also correct. Every state considers withholding medical treatment as animal abuse (misdemeanor and felony in some states) and can be prosecuted under the local laws. Please find someone to borrow the money to get your kitty some much needed help.

Hi there...if the symptoms are identical to what occured last time your kitty was treated you could ring the vet and they could call in a prescription for you rather than having to go back again. If it's something different this time it would be difficult to offer a safe solution without injuring your kitty. Everyone here may be well-intentioned on Yahoo Answers, however any suggestions offered may cause further injuries since it's difficult to know what is the cause of the scabbing and itchy symptoms.

stop letting the cat go outside for one if you do let it out, next call your local humane society and find out where there is a vet for low income folks this animal needs to be seen by a vet, and if you have to spend your last dollar on itJUST DO IT I just had to do that myself I am between jobs but I did it because I have accepted the responsibility of pet ownership, people never consider the future and how much a pet can actually cost in its everyday care , all they know is "oh its so cute" or I am so lonely I want a pet" RUBBISH! Of course things happen but I woud never abandon my promise to care for the helpless animals I share my home with.Good luck I know yu love your cat and will do the right thing

if you cannot afford the vet your kitty could suffer needlessly. this is the responsibility of a pet owner. Borrow some money from friends or family to help your cat. Not providing the cat proper care is constituted as animal cruelty in all states. If you don't believe me just do a search for animal cruelty laws in your state. One of the precursories states that if an animal isn't provided proper medical attention and the animal suffers unnecessary or unjustifiable physical pain as a result of the failure; of the cat you can be fined and have the animal removed from your possession. http://www.animal-law.org/statutes/index.html

Fleas?
Poison Ivy?
Allergic to a type of cat food?
Allergic to cat shampoo?
Allergic to some thin in your home?
Do you smoke around her?
Do you use Teflon coated pans in your home?
Go through a process of elimination and find what is causing her itch.
Then you can solve it.
Call your vet and ask them to give you medication for her symptoms , explain your financial situation and ask for help.
Good Luck

You cat may have allergies or be allergic to something in his bedding or food. Try the vet one more time or a new or holistic vet.

Doc Dolittle - many people cant afford to take their beloved pets to the vet because of the extortionate costs. If the state really gave two s***s about the well-being of animals, there would be actions in place to ensure veterinary care was affordable and up-to-standards which quite frankly, I could diagnose my cat more promptly and effectively than any vet I've seen. Unfortunately, the majority are money-making schemes, who simply prescribe anti-biotics and send you away with a huge bill.
My cat is elderly now and we've recently moved. Through the stress he's been frequently throwing up. Having moved to the countryside, he has also been exposed to the grass and unfamiliar surroundings - this caused a reaction of tiny scabs around his entire body. Unfortunately, his immune system isn't strong enough to fight the unpleasant symptoms anymore. This will NOT disappear with any extortionately expensive cat food.
** My advice is do not impose any significant changes to your cats routine when they are too old to adjust. This brings distress, discomfort, confusion and may be too much for their immune system to deal with, particularly if the surroundings are significantly different and alien.
Having taken my cat to the vet before, and experiencing their unhelpful contribution and £800 bill, I will never be returning, unless it's for some medicine I know is necessary. Having been endowed with various informative and insightful books, along with the access to internet, I have educated myself and know what is best for my cat.

I have same symtons within the last month. I think it's a form of poison ivy. I scratch my arm and neck, and have some scabs. It's slowly going away with use of alcohol, witch hazel, calomine lotion and medicated powder.
Your cat may have been exposed, like I was, to bad foliage outdoors. Try these applications, and see if you get improvement.
Hope it works.
