One of my first memories is complaining of a headache at playgroup and being told that children dont get head aches and not to be so silly. I work with children now, and always take their ideas and opinions and feelings seriously, no matter how young they are.

I dont think so, just if you have a balance and remember this like a good moments of your life. Sometimes we have childhood behaviours in our lifes and is normal. Your asperations is other part of your life taht you can drive without any problems and still if you have childhood memories

Some of my fondest and earliest memories are those of cooking with my mother while I was growing up.
I thought she was the greatest cook in the world. As I got older I realized I didn't like two of her sisters cooking and that one aunt was just as good a cook as my mom.
I would tell my mother the world deserves to taste her cooking and we should open a restaurant. She would laugh with me and we would talk about the foods we thought everyone should have the pleasure of enjoying. These were always the foods of our ethnicity of course.
So many years later in my life, I came to a point where I needed to make a career choice. Twenty-six years after graduating from high school, I returned to school and earned a degree in the culinary arts. I am a cook presently and one day I would love to have my own little cafe where I could share my (and my mothers) passion for cooking.
Did my childhood have an effect on my aspirations of today? You bet it did!!

My most unforgetable childhoon memories are just being with my dad no matter what it was i just loved being with my daddy. He would take me and my sister to the park to feed the ducks on the weekends or just to get ice cream at dairy queen. Just being with him made me feel safe. I knew that being with him no one would ever hurt me. My dad died 2 years ago while I was pregnant with my daughter. Being with my dad has affected me in a big way. he showed me how to be a good parent and to love my kids unconditional no matter what they might have broke or disobeyed. I can say i am the person I am today because of my dad.

my best one was when we all went camping with the school...we went to Wales (Colomendy)...it was beautiful...we spent 2 weeks there, i think i was about 10/11 years old then, and we had this hall down the lane, me and a few friends made up a play and did it on stage, the local papers put an article in for us, so when we got back home it was in our local newspaper....also i love cats/kittens and i saw some wild kittens under a trailer, so i hid one in my coat as we were ready to leave for home, the teacher saw me and i had to put it back...i cried all the way home, i have some great memories of that trip and have returned there many times, even my kids went when they were at school....it was a beautiful place and we had so much fun rock climbing and abseiling down cliffs, even walking to the canteen was a bonus because there were plenty of farm animals to look at on the way, and that smell was awesome...i know cow poo stinks but i mean the whole feel of the place was just lovely...i was at peace there...pity i had to come back to the hustle and bustle of this city....i would love to go back there again...now i have a grandson i may take him when he's a bit older

Until I was seven I stayed with my parents and my grandparents in a big house but after my parents got divorced I had to move with my mom and my sister with my dad.I missed a lot the place where I grew up,the huge garden,my grand parents and my sister.I remember that whenever I went to my dad I was spending hours and hours in the garden.I could say that all this affected my aspirations:I wanted to become a vet but now I want to become something that involves children.I think that it's awesome to make a sad kid smile!

oh ya.........totally. my sister passed away about 13 years ago. she was my best friend and the person i looked up to always, hense.........she was my big sister. so when i hear a song she used to sing reminds me of her. or things we used to do. i remember we were drivign around, i had my baby, she was pregnant, she said, can you believe its friday, we forgot it was friday. we used to go out and party all the time on friday and sat. and then it seemed the day just slipped into another day instead of party night. i was kind of shocked somewhat. what else....when i was a kid we lived in a small basement suite were almost every house on that block had kids. other kids from various other streets would come over. we all would play togther. mostly no cars would go down the street cause all the kids were playing or bike riding. so when i hear bruce street or go by that area i think of that and childhood friends. for a time i lived with my grandmother up north. we still got the catalog around christmas and my brother and sister and i would sit for ages looking through it claiming what wanted and my sister would write it down on a separate paper that we would mail to my mom so she could buy us presents for christmas. so when i see a sears catalog it reminds me of that. i could go on and on with this question. but i'll stop now

I can still remember the smell of my Granda (who died 20 years ago)
The memory of that smell still always makes feel safe, warm and very loved....
It means to me now that I appreciate all the good things in life, the really good things like a smile, a laugh, or a hug.

I miss summers in my grandparent's country house, with endless sunny days with nature all around me and I could go for nice walks and swim and play with my brothers, sisters and cousins. I think I'm trying to live sll that again today because I still love country trips
