I have just put some crumpets in the toaster. What shall I put on them?!

Assuming that you won't have time to run to the store since your crumpets are in the toaster as we speak, I really don't know what to say since I don't know what you have in your kitchen. I think this is a very tough decision that you will have to make on your own...

Be creative! Try melted chocolate or jam or olive oil. I'm not a crumpet person myself to be honest but i do know that a craving can keep you up ALL night so don't leave it!

I always use french unsalted butter and then put lemon curd on one half. This is always followed by another crumpet with again real butter and one half covered with blackcurrant jam. Yummy yummy yummy

Start with with some 'i can't believe it's not butter' then spread on some marmite... then spread some crunchy peanut butter on top... Trust me it's well nice :)

strawberry jam and cheese, then put it under the grill till the cheese goes melty, but not brown.
sounds weird but it tastes yum on pancakes too.,
