Stepdaughter went from a dirty blond to black hair color. Now she wants it all blond again. She let a friend put bleach in her hair but they didn't have enough so only part of her hair is bleached out and the other black. She has long thick hair to her b*tt. Is there any way I could correct it for her or should I take her to a salon. I color my own hair all the time but its one color so no big deal. Is there something to take all the color out without damaging her hair?

NO NO NO NO !!! First of all your daughter should NOT have dyed her hair black. Black is the only color that can't be stripped efficiently. You have to realize and tell your daughter that she is never going to have the color she had before dying her hair.

Get her to a salon ASAP. Your daughters friend has ruined her hair by trying to bleach it already. The hairdresser can do it without damaging it further. Taking color off is 100x harder then putting it in. I would hold your daughters friend and her mother responsible for some of the bill from the salon as well.

Take her to a salon and tell them what has already been done.

Usually for drastic changes they recommend a trip to a salon anyway, or taking it bit by bit to the desired color over a period of time, but since there has already been some damage done, you should let a professional fix it for you.

I would go to a salon rather than try to fix it on your own. You don't want to take a chance on messing it up even more than it already is. P.S.- I would tell your stepdaughter to stay away from the hair dye for a while.

ARGH! What a disaster. I've always said to people, bleach should NOT be a home job!

Take her to the salon, there's nothing you can do for her and her poor hair.

Definitely go to a salon...her hair has already been damaged enough with home remedies.

I doubt a salon can even do much, though that is where I would head.

I had a friend did that years ago. She ended up having to shave her hair off and then let it regrow.

take her to the salon, you don't want to make it worse. let the salon know what was done already so that nothing reacts. They should be able to fix it to look allright.

properly bleach blond with highlights could be a oxy moron and black is only gruesome on maximum people so I say neither.... darker blond with highlights and espresso lighting fixtures furniture could be advantageous
