To teach a wild animal takes much patience and can only be achieved through months of agonizing training but eventually the cat will realize what is right and wrong. also positive reinforcement would be very helpful as well as getting some kind of toy for the wild beast to vent its anger out on.

Hi there...consider using a diversion training technique. When Nubbins ambushes you each time, it's helpful to play dead/remain motionless so she will lose interest in you. This is instinctual to the exotic cats to attack their prey this way. When she loses interest offer her a toy to attack/play with. This helps her redirect the behaviour towards to the toy and learn that it's more fun to attack the toy than you. The key is to make your feet or other body parts uninteresting and if they don't move she will become bored.

It's also best to trim the nails of hybrid kitties regularly to help blunt the tips so it doesn't injure your skin when she grabs ahold of you. Here's a instructional video by Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine: http://www.felinevideos.vet.cornell.edu/trimming_claws/

Hmm. Yes, those are 2 lively, smart breeds who nonetheless have powerful operating developments, and barking is usual with cattledogs. I trust others that they want tons of pastime and "paintings" to do...but it surely appears like you're doing a well task of offering that and looking to manage Abby's entry to assets. People have a tendency to throw the ADD/hyperactivity label round however, by way of gum, you will be proper! I could speak to the vet approximately the probability of strolling a few assessments to diagnose this and furnish a few treatment if the assessments are optimistic. If she isn't hyperactive, Abby rather could want extra paintings to do. Not simply pastime however mind paintings - agility, Rally, obedience coaching, trick coaching, and many others. She must additionally gain knowledge of to be calm round matters that stimulate her. For example, have her do a 10 moment down/keep 20 or 30 ft clear of one more puppy, then progressively broaden the period of the keep at the same time reducing the proximity to the item. You too can do away with her while she turns into overly excited. For example, if she is gambling with different puppies and begins her top-pitched barking, depart. Return both in 30 seconds or while she is calm, whichever is final. Repeat till she will get the notion that a few self-manage is needed if she wishes to have a laugh.

Seriously, very carefully. Show lots of love, calmness, patience, attention, no scolding or aggression. I have 22, some of which were on the wild side at one time, and all have taught me a lot of the same.

She will calm down on her own. At the moment kittens thrive on playing. As she gets older she will become less interested in your feet.
By the way, she isn't as interested in your feet as the reaction you give her when you attack her feet. Better just to ignore her antics and she will get tired of it and attack something else.

buy her some toys that she can play with. She is still a kitten and kittens ambush things. It is part of their nature and is done so that they can learn how to survive in the wilds.

be the alpha cat! with love and compassion. she's a kitten , all kittens do that it's a natural thing. tell her NO in a stren voice everytime she does it. sometimes you might even have to give her a tap to the head or nose while saying no.
she will learn! BTW you don't train cats. they train you!! they do what they want =when they want. and if you love them, you will learn :)

make sure not to move your feet. It's a kitten and they always go for anything that moves because in their mind it's like a game.

Get a squirt bottle and fill it with water. When she is bad, squirt her. Usually cats hate water. Eventually, if this works, she'll learn and stop the behavior and you may not have to squirt her, just shake the bottle and she'll stop.
