Wet dreams are normal, they are believed to happen when the body is not getting release from the hormonal build up of the teen years or sudden "dry spells" in sexually active individuals.
Girls do get wet dreams, but they are far more common and much messier in guys.
Masturbation can, but won't always, put a stop to frequent wet dreams.
Some experts theorize that wet dreams are one of the many sub conscious ways that the body handles stress - they seem to happen more frequently in teens and young adults because this age group is thought to be under extreme stress.
Wet dreams are not drug induced.
Wet dreams do not signal a sexual abnormality or mean you are sexually deviant.
Wet dreams have nothing to do with being gay or straight, the type of wet dreams you have in no way represent your sexuality.
Wet dreams about taboo subjects like; incest, animals, rape, sex with a superior or elder, public sex, group sex, and homosexuality are common and do not have anything to do with your waking sexual preferences (it doesn't mean you secretly want to do these things).
There is no reason to ever feel guilty about having a wet dream, they are subconscious and can not be easily controlled or manipulated..
Many people have wet dreams and don't even know it is happening, for guys the morning mess is often the only evidence and for girls they can go unnoticed - for this reason they may be more common in girls than is currently believed (under reporting may be the real reason girls seem to have them less often).

The term "wet dream" is the common form of what is more properly known as a "nocturnal emission". Such an emmission is an ejaculation of sperm while the male is sleeping, generally accompanied by erotic dreaming. As females do not ejaculate sperm, they cannot technically experience a true "wet dream". However, females can experience erotic dreams and subsequent vaginal moistening can result, resulting in something similar to but technically different from a "wet dream".

I believe they can be caused by erotic dreams you don't have to touch yourself. I also think they can be caused by hormone levels. I have just started having a few "wet dreams" I think I am going through or starting through menopause and the hormone levels are wreaking havoc on my body.

The elegantly titled "wet dream" is only an intense sexual dream. Both males and females have them. And it is possible for both genders to actually achieve orgasm during the dream. Unfortunately, for males, this can be a little messier than for us, but the principle is the same.

Take some time, masturbate, and see what you really think of, without the wet dreams. You could be bisexual, but I hear that has a leaning toward the opposite sex.

Yes it is possible for both men and women to have "wet" dreams. It is more common for males to have them, but what we learned in Health Comp. 103, was that its possible for females too.

Oh! Yes!
A male has an orgasm and so does a female - he 'shoots' we just vibrate!
Come to think of it, they are getting a bit strange to me, now - haven't had one for ages!

Yes, it's possible for a female to get them.
For a male, he winds up with a hunk of gunk in his bunk.
