as i think that i get it and my gran said there is no possible way it can get trapped there as wind is in your stomach not your shoulder

I think that your gran is right.
However, I do get pains 'behind' my shoulder and went to the doctor. I had a cough at the time and he decided that I had pulled a ligament in the shoulder.
I also have suffered from 'frozen' shoulder - and that really hurts! Nothing to do with wind, though.
If you manipulate the shoulder and the ligaments 'squeak' then it is the ligament that has suffered some trauma.

You should check this Sciatica Natural Treatment
http://cure-sciatica.info

Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica. Try a reputable chiropractor ASAP!

Honey: check an anatomy book, this is for some of the others also. You have five separate body cavities, they have no contact with each other except to touch. There is no "wind" per se in your body cavity and there cannot be any "wind" or air for that matter in your body cavity. If you had an air pocket IE: Diaphragm, your lung (s) would collapse. You can get air in you stomach lining as in surgery and it's usually passed as gas or it just expels itself, they leave a tube in you for drainage.

You can and do get fluid in your joints, this is called Rheumatism, it's painful and usually cold packs ease it. You get a swelling, it gets red and sore.
Arthritis is dry, it can swell (bone) and joints get fluid to protect the joint but, it kind of reacts against itself. Creating pain.
I hope this explains some of it without going into a lot of detail.

Some people get referred pain from gas in their digestive tract. I had abdominal surgery once and intense pain in my gut from consipation due to the morphine used as pain relief for the surgery. Most of the pain I felt was referred to my shoulders.

In normal situations pops and clicks you hear in joints are actually movements of fluid rather than gas.

Ask your doctor about an exercise routine. Regular exercise, such as walking three times a week, may reduce neuropathy pain, improve your muscle strength and help control blood sugar levels. Gentle routines such as yoga and tai chi might also help.

You can get air in the joints if you've done some deep scuba diving, else you may have a trapped nerve in your neck, have a warm bath and manipulate the joint. keep your shoulder warm.
