I've noticed for about 1 year at least that my chest as a strong pain that feels like when your about to cry that weird feeling in your throat, but it's in my chest. It can get strong enough to make me fall out of a chair and when I lay down it hurts more.

You should go and see a doctor,,,it might be something as simple as an anxiety attack or serious as a heart attact. You won't know until you see a doctor. Good luck.

Do you get upper back spasms or muscle pain between your shoulder blades (It doesn't have to be at the same time as the chest pain...you just have to be prone to upper back problems)? Some people who suffer from those problems also have the kind of problem you describe. Basically, the musculoskeletal problem in the back is "pulling" on the ribs which in turn are pulling on the sternum causing the pain you describe.

Having said that, anyone who has chest pain should have the problem evaluated by a doctor. So that should be your first step. But if the doctor finds nothing OR confirms a back problem, too; you might want to explore a few rounds of chiropractic treatment to see if that helps the pain.

Hey Chris: You've been waiting a year? what the h...l is wrong with you Pal.
Do your parents or guardian know about this? I don't think it's your heart but, there could be a problem here. You never know, it's been a year. Your esophagus sends pain from your stomach to your throat area making it act like a heart attack, the acid reflux.
At your age my friend, that's what's wrong, your age. It stymies me, get to a doctor right now, or an ER explain it to them, tell them how painful it is. Good luck my friend. You should never let something like this go so long, shame on your parents.

In doing something strenuous you may have dislocated one of your ribs. This is causing pressure on your chest. I would go to the doctor and have an X-ray done and test for a heart condition. If they find nothing go to a chiropractor and have it check out and adjusted.
This happened to one of my sons when he was a teen. Good luck in getting relief.
