A pro-illegal tried to say that on May 1st, the government covered up the loss of undocumented labor by using National guard to secure the positions in restaurants and field labor. They used the national guard to fill any and all positions the illegals were not working that day, in hopes that there would be no change in the current U.S. situation, if they did not go to these measures the plight of the undocumented visitors would be seen and understood and we would have gotten the respect we deserve. Please I didn't see that happen where i live and my sister where she lives in California. Did anyone see this happen in their city?

No of course not. One of the problems with having a population segregated from the mainstream and ignorant of the mainstream language is that they read non-mainstream press as a staple. There is also an eduction level issue, for those recently here. They didn't come because they were advanced political science majors at their colleges in their home country. However, the person who wrote that seems bright enough. I think his community just so heavily relies on those kinds of rags that he doesn't understand how ludicrous it is.

What I suspect is that they got 'mobilization' numbers from that day from the national guard.

Well, what do you expect? In April there were confrontations, and 500,000 people came out for the March in May, in LA where I live.

It was quite obvious where the national guard was, though, you only had to count the army helicoptors and look at what crowd control was wearing.

They weren't flipping burgers.

It's more B.S. I'm pretty confident that Congress is going to be pretty pro-active on dealing with immigration, both legal and illegal, in the future, these pro-illegals can keep digging themselves a bigger hole with their specious claims, slander, racial comments, personal insults, and so forth, but there will come a reckoning for all of it...most likely in the form of a much expanded USBP and legal actions against companies that've made a business practice of hiring illegal aliens.
