Tip 1:
Mix ½ tspn of Baking soda in 1 glass of water. Sponge the person with this. When soda dries on the skin it controls the itchiness and irritation.
Tip 2:
Pure honey smeared on the scabs helps in clearing up scars.
Tip 3:
Application of Vitamin E oil helps and has a healing effect. The scars fade away very quickly.

it's pretty suffering but it only happen once in a lifetime so deal with it. when the wounds are about to dry it will be very itchy...remember do not scratch it otherwise it'll become ugly scars...try to eat something light during chicken pox...do not take poisonous foods such as seafood or eggs...

Keep away from others during infectious period. Do not scratch the lesions. Use calamine lotion, take a bath with bread soda in it to help the itching. Your doctor should prescribe medication such as piriton, zyrtek, clarityn, phenergan for the itch as well. Treat any fever as you usually would. Drink plenty of fluids. Get rest.

Be careful not to be around anyone, do not scratch, use plenty of Calamine lotion and bath in Oatmeal baths. A great one I used for my son was Aveno. It is normally on the soap aisle in Walmart.
Hope you feel better.

You poor thing - my 3 kids had it earlier this year and it was horrible! I used aqueous cream with calamine in it (kept it in the fridge so it was nice and cold) and put bicarb of soda in the bath.
They only seemed to have one really bad day when the itching drove them mad.
Good Luck

when both my kids got chicken last xmas my doctor recommended EURAX lotion, this can be bought without prescription from chemist and i must say it worked great no itching or scratching at all, also give child calpol or something like it to keep temperature down.

I used baking soda in a bath and plenty of calomine lotion, they take about 10 days to go away, what ever you do, do not scratch them as this leads to bad scarring.

you just have to rest, and go to the doctor to see if there is a cream that you can use to stop the itching, alternatively you could use bicarbonate of soda to get the spots down and ease the itching. dilute it with water first though! ♥b♥

Aside from your medication, one tip I can give you is to don't EVER, ever scratch them no matter how they itch, or suffer from terrible scars later on, plus they won't heal fast since they're oftenly scratched.
