Technically there are no numbers on a die, only spots, but if you use the special die for dungeons & dragons or other role play games then the die are numbered. The smallest is called a D4 & has four side 1-4. The largest die is called D100 & has 100 sides with the numbers 1-100.
There is also D6, D8, D10, D12, D20, D30.
They are all written with numbers not spotted.

None there are only spots!

yes - his grammar is terrible - he should have asked you how many numbers on a die of course as dice is plural and he didnt say how many he was talking about :)
