I think I have stopped thinking

2006-11-11 22:06:57 · answer #1 · answered by Sabure Kennedy 2 · 2 1

I think America will become less Christian as a result of Islamaphobia. Upon hearing of extreme fears and reactions because of the extreme actions of some Muslims, Americans will begin to be on the look out for extreme views and some will recognize such things in the Christian church. I think America will become less religious in general, like Europe. The extremist religious element in America is basically from the Puritans and other extreme religious Christian groups that got kicked out of Europe back in the Colonial Era of America's infancy. People who are wary of extreme notions might begin to stear clear of extreme things in their own culture too. Some will buy into the phobia and make statements or actions that the general public doesn't agree with. Extremist say extreme things and this will chase more people away from the churches. Not all churches are extreme, the vast majority are moderate. Some are strict, but moderate, like the Amish people who abhor violence of any kind. The media is the best place to lessen the fears and come to understand that the vast majority of Muslims are not extremists. Middle Eastern, Arab, and Muslim characters in movies as heroes would help out a lot. However, if the Muslim is shown in these Hollywood movies to be a villian, it will only make the average person even more nervous and phobic. This is my theory about this in America. The effects of this in France, or anywhere else, is unknown to me and I haven't enough knowledge to hazard a guess. Weren't the Danish cartoons a sign of Islamphobia? Mocking pictures show a lack of understanding.

i could talk about this question for days!!!! but i wondt :) i think it's degrading to both the Muslims that must live through this and the non-Muslims who allow this kind of ignorance and intolerance to grow.

**the worst experience i've had with Islamophobia (and believe me as a Muslim women who covers her hair there has been A LOT of them) was about a month or two ago. i was waiting for a train to come and needed to cross the tracks. apparently i must have gotten in this man's way (either that or he was just enraged at the site of me); he yelled the word terrorist and pushed me onto the tracks. b/ it happened so suddenly i was kind of dazed and disoriented. a man passing by picked me up. had it been 30-60 sec later i would have died. the most amazing part is that this man was the only one who even stopped to look... as if i wasnt even human.

*can someone anyone say that a man who pushes a young girl in front of a train for no valid reason is not a terrorist? it is high time ppl realized that there are extremists and "crazies" on both sides

recently my friend was spit on while walking to school.

**i think those that deny that discrimination against Muslims exists, dont live our lives

thank you so much for asking
peace and blessings to all

It is more a matter of Hadithophobia because Muslims have abandoned the Quran for Hadith that gives them control over the lives of their women and children and because they hate to share with others as Quran commands and especially with Muslims of other races.

Allah is aware of every leaf that falls and they can only think they have outwitted Allah with their Hadith.

It appears that the islamists are pursuing a retrograde policy. "Never take a backward step." They were once , sort of , progressive ,but they are falling now. This alarms me and ,I am sure , many others.

Eff the Muslims and their ignorance. I am tired of being politically correct. I see someone walk on an airplane with a diaper or tablecloth or towel on their head, yes I will be concerned. Based on events of the last few years, yes people have the right to be a little "phobic"

Why don't you make sure you request answers from those countries, presently fighting to prevent the Islamist from taking over their country?
