Been having brief blackouts, at least that's what it feels like, like i slip out of my body momentarily,and return almost instantlly, just a little disoriented and thinking, "Did that just really happen, or was it my imagination.
Somebody just said that it is a trans ischemic attack which is a precursor to a stroke. I'm 33, my sister had a stroke when she was 19, and I have a heart murmer. Is there anything I can do to prevent a stroke from happening to me??

This is something you should see your doctor about immediately, not later. This someone that's diagnosing you should have told you to see a doctor. You don't know what you have or if you have anything but, whatever it is, is not normal.

u must consult a cardio consultant if u hav murmurs... also plan out a cardio workout with him to revent stroke i.e. to keep ur blood going arond... n keep a check on warning signs of TIA/stroke viz. headache, blurred speech, sudden weakness in limbs... bcoz it is possible to arrest stroke in the TIA stage only... consult ur doc for more dos n donts... n keep an eye on ur diet too... NO SMOKING, NO ALCOHOL...
