It is in "Hotel" Time Zone, which is GMT plus 8.

Meaning, if London 1am, Beijin will be 9 am.

But in China, some region are not following the Official timing. For example, if 6am in Beijing is sunrise, in central part like Guangxi or in Chongqing is still fairly dark. But in Xingjiang is very dark.

So, people in Xinjiang and the surrounding region of western China is observing 2 hours behind official time. I understand that the local has their own timing, which is "Foxtrot" Time, GMT +6. But any place official, like post office, etc are still following the official Beijing Time.

But the openning hour for those office, like post office, they will just start their office later, to coinside with the local time. Thus, their post office may be open at 10 am - Hotel Time, but in Beijing is open at 8 am - Hotel Time.

I know it is a little technical. But hope you will find that useful.
