I'm planning to get my driver's license here in the Middle East, and I can convert it to an International Driver's License. I'll be going to London next year. I'm just worried that I won't be able to use it there because driving here is left-hand drive, and I think it's right-hand drive in London. Thanks in advance guys!

I am from the US (left hand drive) and could have used my international drivers license to drive while I was in the UK. However, I will point out that in London you'd probably rather take public transportation....driving in London is horrible!

The English drive on the left of the road.

Usually the international agreements allow you to use your foreign license for up to one year.
The problem is with the insurances, they ususally give you a malus or refuse cover altogether if you do not have a full UK license.
