how can i find out what school i graduated from if i was in jail when i graduated?

i was in the California youth authority and graduated while in there.

I earned the ged, while they still gave credits for my diploma, which i received also

You probably just received a GED(General Educational Development). It is as good as a high school diploma. So I would just say that you passed your GED.

Contact the California Youth Authority, they should have a record of your graduation. Ask for a copy of your GED record.
