Let's say you spent your whole life helping charities, never being mean or selfish - basically being Mother Teresa. Except, you live somewhere remote and have never heard of Jesus, whom you supposedly have to accept to get into Heaven. Would you go to Hell because people had failed to spread the word of Jesus, even if it wasn't your fault?

The bible says "where little is known, little is required" You are judge by what you knew to do and failed to do. C.S. Lewis actually covered that topic in his last book of the Chronicles. The Last Battle.http://www.fiona.co.jp/images/JUVENILE_BOOK/CN7_LAST_BATTLE.jpg
Hope this helps, God Bless.

People are born into cultures and religions that provide opportunities needed for their personal spiritual growth. Like
all things the spirit evolves and hierarchy is a factor. It is natural to have a leader of every class and also to have a straggler as well. Therefor some religions are naturally more advanced than others. Christ taught love, patience, kindness, and things of the awakened spirit. Christs teachings contradict mans concept of hell (centuries of translation, mistranslation, and the cultural effects of a hundred generations may account for some of our misunderstanding of what He came to teach. True Christianity is the forefront of these things and would certainly not condemn a precious soul for ignorance.

Funny thing this whole hearing the word. In the old testament it is written that God spoke in the wilderness. The Jewish people understood this to mean that it was a land that belonged to no one. If that is the case then it means his word spread to the far corners of the earth. Just becuase a civilization / tribe etc may not have a learned understanding of the "christian" faith does not mean that they don't understand who God is. I have a wonderful message anyone can listen to. Just IM or e-mail me and I'll send it to you. It will change your perspective on the name of God and how people who haven't read a bible can know who he is.

Don't tell me you actually believe that someone could have never heard of Jesus? Are you serious? There is a war going on right now and I'm sure Jesus' name is mentioned in it. That's just implausible that someone never heard of Jesus. And yes, even if you were the most "good" person in the world, which NOBODY is, you wouldn't get to Heaven if you weren't a believer.

It is not what YOU do that get's you to heaven..it's what HE, Christ, did. You can't earn your way into Heaven..salvation is a gift.
The Lord will save (and has already saved) ALL that He wills to.
Whether that person goes to Heaven or Hell depends on the will of God. Judge not lest we be judged... is talking about that sort of FINAL judgement exactly. It is safe to say it is wrong to murder..it is safe to say that you are in danger of Hell for murder..it is NOT safe to say that you are going to Hell for murder, lest our own sins be counted against us.
As for me, I know that I have heard about Christ, so I must accept Him to be in paradise. I also know that it is my duty to spread the truth.

Nope, there is a bible verse stating it, but I can't think of it right now. But I think it is our duty to bring the gospel of Jesus to all the earth. So go out there and tell people who has never heard oh HIM!

I wish I knew the scripture that basically says those who were never introduced to Jesus can't be held accountable for something they don't know so they would go to Heaven, just like innocent babies who can't rationalize will make it to Heaven. If I find the scripture I'll let you know.

You'll still go to heaven cause he knows it's not your fault. Judgement day is when he'll make everything clear with all decisions made with good FAIR reasons

I believe when a person dies, they get to "meet" God and know the truth for the last and final time....that's their moment of truth and if then they don't believe...down they go.
It is very important everyone knows Jesus and the "right" way to live. Its kinda like knowing about cars but not the different makes and models.
