I mean in the bible its very clear......we should look for "equally yolked" Some ministers have even said thats even pertaining to the denomination. I was told dont even think about dating a non believer from many people in my church. It makes sense but kinda stinks there arent that many compatible women in my church but I am friends with a lot of non-christian girls so what should I do?????? Thanks!

instead of worrying about what people will accept or what they wont...... Look at what the word of God says.... it says not to be un-equally yoked with non believers.... specifically........

so your choice is do you listen to what people tell you is okay or not okay...... or do you follow the word of God?

God bless you will be keeping you in prayer

Of course ministers don't want you dating women from other denominations: it's bad for business.

Just remember that all religions are man made. What matters to God is not so much WHERE you go to learn his Word, but rather WHAT you do having learned it.

I'm raised Catholic, my wife Methodist. We've been married 6 years now with no problems from either end. The way we figure it, anyone who would point out a problem with this IS the problem.

I dated a non-Christian, fell in love, brought him to church and now he's a Christian and my husband. Jesus walked among sinners. Yes, I have been preached to also about finding someone equally yolked but it's just not that easy. My husband isn't the Christian I wished he was but he's not bad either. I grew up in church whereas he barely ever went to church. It's a bit of a struggle in our spiritual lives and something I'll always have to deal with so just be aware of that. Good luck!

The Bible does speak of not being 'unequally yoked' with unbelievers. 'Missionary dating' rarely works. There is always the possibility that the Christian could lead the non-believer to Christ. Unfortunately, it usually works the other way around - the Christian ends up compromising what they believe. In general, I would say 'don't do it' but one should pray about it and follow where God leads. <><

You've answered your own question. No it is not right according to the word of God.
BTW a Christian is a Christian I don't care what church they do or don't attend. If they are truly Christian it shouldn't matter. As long as they believe that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are One. And they believe the only way to receive forgiveness of sins is through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Invite one of your non-Christian friends to church, maybe they'll learn something. Maybe they won't stay non Christian!!!

Listen to your heart and not other people. I am an agnostic so does that make me taboo to religious people? If it does then so be it, it simply reinforces my belief that religion is pure, unadulterated, evil tribalism.

If I found a girl I loved it would matter not a jot if she was black, yellow, white or Hindu, Moslem, Catholic or Rastafarian. I would love her no less, and I would expect her to accept my own beliefs.

The least of my fears would be the opinions of the God-botherers who think they can commit sins every weekday and salve their conscience by going to church on Sundays!

A friend of mine dated a girl that was Christian, but didn't act like one. She just believed in god, but didn't follow the bible, wasn't saved or anything like that, and he was very strong in his faith. They had a lot of conflicts in their relationship and eventually split up. So if you do date non-christian, be prepared to deal with someone that might not share your values.

Since all religions are nothing more than a business who want to keep and multiply their customer base, of course they will tell you their way is the only way.

Don't let them influence such an important decision such as what kind of partner you pick.

whats the point in starting a relationship that can never be........trust God that if it is his will for you to get married that you'll find that person, don't worry cause his way is the best and you've just gotta trust him and stick to what the bible says, pray about this, thats the best thing to do.

I personally don't see a problem why. Many people has relationships like that, but one thing will definitly happen along the way. One of you will have to comprimise & be sure it's not you. You're on the right way
