I loved her. We were together for about 8 monthes until hurricane Katrina destroyed the whole intire parish where it was impossible for anyone to move back. She relocated somewhere in LA and I reloacated to TN. It's been over a year and I've only gone out with a handful of girls up here because it just hurts so much knowing I'm not with her. Even after a year, I still love her. I have seen her in a year. And yet I can never forget her eyes. I'm trying to get over her, but it's impossible. I call her every chance I get but after hearing her voice, I get depressed. What can I do to get over her, because it seems IMPOSSIBLE to get over her?

I think you have to make a choise here. Either stop things all together (ie, stop phoning her, etc), or really commit to it. If you decide to stop things, I think the decent thing to do would be to explain to her the situation. On the other hand, if you simply cannot do that, pick up and move to LA. Don't think about it, just do it. If it was meant to be, it will work out somehow in the end. If not, you will have a totally fresh start where you can try and carve out (another) totally new life.

keep yourself busy in something positive and uplifting
try focusing on yourself. Take a class in something that inspires u. that way you'll become involved with something other than.....
don't say it! don't think it!! and turn of that song!!!

Holy **** I wish I could help you but in a sense I am having the same problem (my guy dumped me cause he was weak willed and wanted friends more than love). It's been a year and I have a new boyfriend and I am trying so hard to give him myself completely but something in my longs for my ex.
