Because it is easy to fool people with things that seem logical to man's feeble mind. Man can't take it that he can't explain everything so if he can't he says it can't be true. Science is fact based on MAN'S interpretation only. The last time I saw a human being create an entire universe was......well.......never! That's why every time man challenges God to a match in knowledge, man comes away empty. Always has, always will. If you think humans can explain away everything that God created, then science has fooled you too.

Why Christians have a problem with science? We Muslims know that science complements religion. There are three sources for the truth that you can't realize with your senses: 1. A book of God
2. A messenger of God 3. Science. For us the more science advances the more we believe in the Koran. Cause it has scientific facts in it. We know what was there before the big bang, can you imagine? See for yourself.

Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti, a significant scholar who lived in Egypt in the 15th century, explains that all sciences or branches of knowledge are to be found in the Quran.

you actually answered your own question. and that answer is "faith". Without concrete fact, many of us refuse to believe in something. Science can offer fact and we hold on to what we believe to be true. For someone to "take a leap of faith" involves a belief in something that takes a great deal of time and devotion to understanding. Many folks are just too busy in todays society to take on this commitment.

I don't see why they must rival. Even the brightest scientists admit to creating more complex puzzles every time they resolve a question.

The sub-atomic world is the area where these subject may merge. It's looking pretty interesting, that's for sure.
