Mary found out she was pregnant with the baby Jesus when an Angel came to her when she was sleeping, or in a dream, and told her she was with child and to call the child Jesus.

In the Quran, it was told that Mary was approached by and angel in the form of a man who told her that she was to bear a son.
Mary was perplexed, she has never been touched by a man at all (let alone have extra-marital sex)!
She was then told to go the "east". She survived among others on dates which fell when the tree was shaken.

"do not be afraid, god has sent me here to say that you will give birth to a child named jesus and he will be gods son."
And mary said
"yes. anything for god"
