God - you mean the Creator does not care one shread that you did or did not baptize your son.

I died during heart surgery and I met God and You need to realize that you have been connected from the beginning and cannot exist without your connection to the Creator. Realize too that the love you have for your family - well God loves you a million times more. You can never really do anything wrong as long as you remember - everyone is your brother and sister. All are relations because all are from God.

Peace and compassion, pass it on...

God will recognize that your son is baptized, as long as it was of his own free will and his decision, but first and foremost that he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. Without that, the baptism means nothing. If you asking if it must take place in a river in the mountains, no. If your asking if it is okay that it did, yes.

They say god knows and sees all, so he would know exactly where your son is baptized right?

A baptism is recognised even done by any christian, anywhere. But, according to orthodox church, this must be done in case of an emergency, and then the baptism should also be done in the church.
