even if you read the Bible and practice it, it is still essential to go to Church. to be a true Christian is to try to be more Christ-like. and since Jesus Christ is married to the church, to be a true Christian means to hear mass religiously.

Daily Bible study and time in communion with the Lord-prayer is vital for a Christian. The Bible encourages Christians to go to church. "Do not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing". You are a Christian if you've been born again. Going to church is essential for spiritual growth. If you attend a church that isn't nourishing your spirit then seek another. You can be a true Christian without going to church, but you will be at the mercy of demonic oppression and won't grow in your faith.

There's a saying: Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than sitting in a garage makes you a car.
If you follow the teachings of Christ, you are a Christian. Some people that attend church all the time are not very Christian in their actions.
One of the Ten Commandments is Keep Holy the Lord's Day. Some religions interpret that as having to attend worship on that day, but not all do. Most important is what you actually do to honor the Lord on that day.

NO! If you aren't going to go to church "and all", why would you call yourself a Christian? If it isn't working for you, find something else that does. Why do people try to force the religion or the church to fit with their beliefs? Find something that fits your beliefs or change your beliefs. Christians believe in keeping the Sabbath day holy so you really don't have much of an option if you are going to take the sacrament.

OF COURSE.
Jesus left us the Holy Spirit so that we would have understanding at all times.
Christian = striving to be "Christ Like"
Christian doesn't = "Church"
Personally, the reason I don't go to church is because I find church nowadays to be really hypocritical. When money is more important then people, there's a problem.
Therefore, I chose not to go to church.
But I still accept Jesus as my Savior.

Jesus only said, "Do this in memory of me". He didn't say exactly how, except for the example given in the last supper nor did he elaborate on exactly how often we should remember him in this way. Consequently, everything after this is a collection of traditions formulated by men over the centuries. That's not to say it a bad idea, Some traditions have real value, but it is, after all, only a tradition.

The only requirement for being a Christian is believing in Christ and his teachings. Nothing more.

Of course!
You can practice love, do what Jesus said to do, praise God though Jesus, be led by Holy Spirit, all without the church.
odds are, if you are hot for God, you will WANT to be around other believers to share your joy. But if you dont, thats cool and Bless you anyway!
Love David

I believe part of being a true believer in any faith is to be an active participant of the believing body. Part of growing, spiritually, is to interact with others. That presents tests as well as blessings; but, it is through the tests that we grow, spirtually.
It is good to be part of a religious community. There are times when you may need your fellow believers and times when they may need you. You have something to contribute to the community and they have something to contribute to you. You are not part of the body of believers if you are missing. "God loves those who work in groups." --Baha'u'llah
To be a believer is to be part of a spiritual family. You may read your Bible all alone, and benefit; but, if a fellow believer may have an insight deeper than yours, and you aren't present to be able to receive it, you are the loser. Or, you may have an insight your brothers and sisters don't have; then, you are depriving them. God doesn't have arms--can't hold us, can't kiss us can't soothe us with His words; that's why we are His body. We are His arms, lips, words of comfort. That's why He asks us to be His body. There are going to be times when you need your brothers and sisters, and times when they are going to need you.
A complete body is more powerful than a body with a member missing.
