The late Islamic teaching was meant for the whole generation of humanity, same as Christianity, but this topic is waaay to controversial to be discussed here.
Both religions have their own way of teachings, all for the sake of goodness & humanity, no bias, but nowadays their followers are the blkack goat that make mischief and in the end makes their religion name goes bad.
Any religious extremis are the one causing the problem in our world today, not the religion itself.
As for the gender issues, not only the Islamic religion is to be blame for the bias, most of the current religious practice and the local culture are responsibble for the misunderstanding.

It's hard to answer this because there are many Islamic cultures... Morocco and Saudi Arabia are both Islamic nations, but their cultures are very different. There is a HUGE difference between religion and culture. If you mean what Islam teaches, then I must say yes, it is better. It teaches that modesty, marriage, respect to women, compassion for the poor, respect for your elders, love for Allah\God... You don't see much of that in western culture anymore, largely due to the lack of religion.

I m muslim female n i have recently graduated in medicine . we have better strength of femals as compared to males in our medical school........and yet i m lving in a muslim country... this goes for all education system that females are more in number n they have all the opportunity to go to any level for studying..even if they want to go aborad they are welcomed. get your ideas correct
