I personally don't think so. My husband is 19 years older than I am and we have a fantastic relationship. I am happier with him than I ever was with any guy closer to my age. I think I'd be happy with him if he was closer to my age, though. I don't love him for how many years he has lived. I love him for who he is and how he makes me feel. Age is a relative thing and doesn't need to be the end all, be all piece of a relationship. What matters more is how happy the two people are, how compatible they are, etc. Age doesn't have to effect that unless they want it to. And it shouldn't matter what other people think about an age difference - it's not THEIR relationship and they should probably butt out.

No not at all. I believe once people reach 20 years of age that is an adult and a 4 year age gap is totally normal. And just the fact that u would ask that proves u have integrity. I wish u the best. :-)

For guys a good formula is your age (x) divided by 2, plus 7.
x/2 + 7. That's the lower limit. I once had a formula for girls too but I forgot it since I'm not one and have no use for it.

I am 37 and my last girlfriend was 25. Once you get into your 20's age difference doesn't seem to matter so much as you are both mature enough to make your own decisions and choose your own preferences.

no... but a 20 dating a 16 is.... the older you get the wider the gap becomes OK.

over 18 is OK. My wife and I are 4 years apart. the older you get the less that 4 years seems
