Every year I get bad itching and thus rashes behind my knees and on my inner thighs. At night I will often have trouble breathing. The breathing trouble comes in spurts. Ie. several nights in a row, then not for a month or two. Am I going to die?

For the genius' that say "eventually you will die", please consider that my question included the word "soon". In other words, I am not concerned with whether or not I will die eventually, but whether or not I will die soon as a result of some disorder that is manifesting itself through the conditions described above. Morons.

The itching and rashes sound like allergic skin reactions, and the trouble breathing sounds like asthma. Asthma is often caused by an allergy to something that is out of control. I'd suggest seeing an allergist and get skin tested to see if/what you're allergic to. Possible allergies range from grasses to pets to food to medicine, etc. If you are stressed, which would be normal if you're having trouble breathing, it can make your troubles worse. Please see a doctor as soon as you can, and good luck!

Sounds as if you are having an allergic reaction to something. Try to remember what you eat prior to these nightly events.
You may also want to ask you doctor to have you checked for GERD.
By the way you will eventually die. Maybe not from these nightly events unless they become really bad.
An allergic reaction can stop you from breathing. Try not to sleep heavy until you get in with a doctor.

i think your suffering from skin asthma ! why dont you see a doctor to examine you fully & give you the necessary medications & health teachings . why don't you try to discover what is causing you this itchiness & rashes & try to prevent them! i think that would be of help.
