I've seen that video before ,and everytime I see it ,it breaks my heart.Any dog has the potential to do damage if abused and neglected.Pits are the least likely to bite ,and are the most maligned and abused breed as of right now.The problem is ,when any Pit does bite the dog can cause a lot of damage. It's up to us as Pitty owners to always make sure our Pittys have good pr at all times. Our dogs need to be breed ambassadors. All bsl does is break apart famalies ,kill innocent dogs ,or severly restrict innocent dogs. It doesn't get to the root of the problem ,and that is to punish the evil humans for their crimes against these beautiful dogs. These people will continue on with hurting these dogs ,and the innocent dogs will pay with their lives. It's a vicous cycle. Some working Pittys where lucky enough to get out of bad situations with their lives and became great Pitty ambassadors ,such as Neville and Popsicle.

i have very strong beliefs that any dog can do major damage! pit bulls are renouwned for thier aggresivness so people go out and get them and make them nasty. its a vicious cycle. rotties are the same. i have been in contact with many different types of dogs and i find the ones with the most attitude are often the smaller ones they nip and bite all the time! pits are lovoing loyal family dogs if they are brought up to be that, but if brought up to be nasty any dog will be nasty obviously!

this goes for ANY dog. buy from a reputable breeder. check out pedigree. visit the kennel and see for yourself both parents of the puppy, how they ineract with you and the other dogs. i raise german shepherd dogs and they are ALL loving and gentle, yet protective. it's all in the genes and they way YOU raise them. every breed has it's own distinctive quirks that you must learn and know how to deal with. gsds' need a strong willed owner who will show that he's the boss, yet love and praise the dog when they are doing what you ask. anger is never the way to train a dog, they respond much better when good work is praised with love.

Any dog can potentially be bad, depending on genetic factors and abuse by people. The same applies for pits, german sheperds, dogo argentino, rottweilers, greek sheperds, and all the animals who normally love and protect us, when they are strong enough and do have some wild instincts anyway. It is true that pits are misunderstood, but it is also true that many of them do bad things, either because of bad training or because of inherited characteristics.

pits are very loving loyal dogs. when you abuse anything it messes it up -- i think sometimes the smarter the animal or person is that is abused the more it messes them up. it is very sad when you know the potential the breed has for being an exceptional pet and people just abuse them.

I agree completely, german sheperds kill more humans each year than pitbulls combined, if anything they should be banning them, or just leave the poor animals alone. They only become bad when they are mistreated or ignored... maybe the onwers of biting dogs should be put down instead.
