My friend...?

weighs 118.4 lbs. she feels fat,and i keep telling her she's not. she won't listen,though. do you think that's too much for an 11 year old?

Girl, i'm 14, and i weigh 125 lbs. if not more.

Tell her that as long as she is in a sport, eats healthy, feels good, and her BMI [body mass index--you can google this to find out what yours and your friends is] is right, then to you-know-where with all those people who tease her. As far as i've had experience, girl, the boys don't exactly go for the skinny sticks. They go for the girls that look like they were alive a second ago, you know what i mean?
And as far as girls are concerned, we are still growing at 11. So if you seem to have a little what we call babyfat, its ok, because your body is probably just keeping that there, so that if you shoot up like a weed in the next month or so, you won't look like a zombie.

well im 11 and im 105,but im also on the short side. it matters her height,how comfortable she is with her weight,and my favorite saying "muscle weighs more than fat." and maybe your friend feel aawkward next to you if your smaller than her. my friends are like,96lbs and are 2 inches taller than me and i do feel fat. and im the only one who gets teased for being "fat". so if shes getting teased,stand up for her. maybe you and her can join a sport together and dont offer her fatty foods.then maybe she wont feel as bad. but i know how it feels to feel fat,as im feeling it right now. unless she is 218.4lbs,dont worry.maybe she will hit a growth spurt.just make her feel comfortable about her weight. and dont say your fat if your smaller,because that will make her feel HUGE. just make her feel comfortable.
