Every time he does this, punish him. Put him on a chair and make him stay there without being able to get off for a whole 5 minutes. It doesn't sound long or much of a punishment, but believe me, he will hate it. I bet, after doing that a few times, he will do the pouring liquids less and less.
Give it a go. If he isn't bothered about sitting on a chair then think of something else that you know will bother him.
Oh, and start putting liquids up where he can't reach!

Your kid sound like mine. I don't know why but mine loves to dig things out of the trash. I went to walmart and bought a different trash can and then went to the baby isle where they have the things for baby proofing your home. There are these latches for your fridge that work great on microwaves, trashcans, etc. they are easy for adults and you can put it high enough so little one would have trouble reaching. They are white with plastic buckles and have really sticky pads to attach to either side of the fridge door. With my 2 year old prevention is the best bet.

He's just being curious and looking for attention. It's normal. If it's become a problem, you can buy latches for fridges that are childproof. It's a good idea to have them on cupboards where poisons are kept too. He may start dumping them out and then you'll have a huge problem.

confident, there is not any harm in letting your little lady sleep in the comparable mattress as you. If she gets scared on the hours of darkness, then on your concern, she is obviously going to instruct to her daddy for convenience and reassurance. the only concern i could be careful approximately is that she does not count number in this for too long. it could make problems for you the two sooner or later if she sees this with the aid of fact the only thank you to get to sleep at night. At 3, i assume she is sufficiently old to appreciate what you tell her, so perhaps attempt to describe to her that now she is getting a huge lady, perhaps she could prefer to attempt to sleep in her very own mattress. Reassure her that daddy is barely in the subsequent room and he or she would be in a position to continually are available in if she gets scared. perhaps yet another thought could be to furnish her slightly night gentle so as that she isn't thoroughly on the hours of darkness.

He does it for the same reason he stuffs peas up his nose and ears: he needs to play in goop, make messes and generally drive you nuts. That's how he learns. I suggest buying a fridge lock for $2 at Babies R Us and supervise his "messy play" at more appropriate times and places! Good luck!

Curiosity killed the cat. Make sure everything dangerous is locked up. Time out is a good start to help curb curiosity. Its just a stage, tuff it out with the little one.

some kids do it as an attention getter. You can get refridgerator latches (in the babyproofing isles at walmart or target) and that can prevent him or her from opening the door or least long enough to where you can catch them trying to open it and stop them.

He wouldnt do it if you wouldnt allow it my son is 19mnths old and knows the difference between yes and no. He does what he feels he can get away with so i swat his diaper and make him sit on the couch for time out your son is old enough to know better than that behavior. Sounds like it is time for time out!!!

your child is curious, don't yell but give a lesson on the differences between wet and dry and allow him to pour. Embrace his independence!!
