I know this girl, my classmate, five years ago. However, only for the past seven months that i discovered I really love her and she is my true love. Moreover, I used to be a shy person, unlike now.
She told me in her email that she doesn't like me in the way I like her. Is it too late now to prove her that I really love her? Can anyone tell me why is it that I am so stupid to discover my true love only after such a long time?

It doesn't matter if you prove to her that you love her. She knows that already. What matters is that she doesn't return you're feelings and probably never will. Find another true love. It's not too late for that.

Let's get a few facts straight here:
1. You do not have to prove that you love her. The fact that you love her does not enter into the equation at all. She has made it clear that she is not interested. Respect that and back off.
2. You have no idea what true love even means. You are obsessed with her, and probably only because she is unavailable. You will likely fancy yourself to be in "true love" many more times before you eventually find your life partner.
3. Move on, grow up, gain a little more experience and stop dwelling on the past.

is it enough to prove to her that you really love her?
is it enough just to be her friend?
you can choose to wait and hope that her feelings will change for you through your behaviour to her and how you talk and all that,
or you may decide that there are many more people in this world to love and you do not need to settle for someone who may not feel the same way for you. love her, don't stop, because love is good. but also find someone else to give the benefit of your affection and attentions. She may even see how you behave to her and change her mind about you! True love is everywhere, don't waste it on just one thing, spread it all around, so we can all appreciate it.

There is no way you can prove your love to her. She informed you that she was not interested. Do not push the issue. If it was meant to happen, it will happen. As mentioned in other answers, this is life. You also sound pretty young and you may also not even experienced true love. I believe that if you truly love someone; you realize it quite quickly...not five years later.

if she don't love you can't force her,
some times we are so confused about this love.just think there is only one thing is most complex and that is love.so you r not a stupid guy ,this is a lesson to you that what is true love in this world.
beside this love also included sacrifies.this is the symbol,that you love her truely from your heart.
you are so lucky that you fall in true love,many people can't realise it till now.they only make a compromise which they thought love.
so don't mourn so much,move on with the feeling of peace.

You might not be too late... ask her out on a date. Make it more like a "friendly" date, where you'll just get together and catch up on things. Maybe she justs needs a little heads up on the fact that you really like her and she might appreciate your effort and give you a chance. Good luck!

unfourtunately it happens, i just went through this a couple nights ago, i told my best friend, and he didn't feel the same way...so i guess it's time to move on =/ as hard as it is to do.
