People drink beer because it tastes good and it is nutritious. It has been consumed for a longer period of time than any other fermented beverage - I believe 5,000 years. It was made in ancient Egypt and has been with us ever since. It even is reputed the be the reason the Mayflower landed where it did, rather than further south. You see, they ran out of beer.
Good stuff; ought to try some.

Dude, beer is great. Tastes great, and in the proper quantity gives you a buzz.
F*uck that 21 crap - that is only for the world's most prude country - USA, most other places the age is 16 or 18 which is what it should be! I actually feel sorry for kids growing up in the US because they can't go out for a few brews with their friends.
I moved to Europe right after high school and stayed. Freedom of suds and 30 days paid vacation were two of the main reasons.
I love beer.

I only drink items that taste good to me. I don't care for being drunk.
I enjoy some beers. Beer is relatively cheap and readily available for most.

Beer is good, also it gives you a buzz which would make you feel like you really don't care about things. I take it that you haven't drank yet? Wait until your 21

Many people just like the flavor, but drinking any alcohol in large enough quantities can cause intoxication, which seems to differ for different people.

I don't like to drink to get F-ed up. A tasty Stout always hits the spot though.
