oh lord YES...my dachshund gets horrible car sickness! my vet gives me motion sickness pills for dogs IF i have to travel.
i try NOT to take him out unless it's unavoidable...(boarding, vet visits..etc)
talk to you vet...it may be that since he is a pup he could just outgrown it as an adult. if it continues after he's a year or two....i think maybe motion sickness pills would help.

poor thing!
if you HAVE to travel..keep him in a crate, with blankets and water *no food..it will upset his tummy even more* make it dark and QUIET for him so he will be comfy.

A dog is completely helpless to this kind of motion, and reacts with fear and dis comfort this will occur every time when placed in the car. Could be caused by ear canals make sure the dog is able to see out front window so can look in same direction as the movements. This allows the eyes to help orient the confusing sensations from the ears. Also open windows to equalise the air pressure. Stress is always a big factor with this, and not being use to car rides,Take on short car rides places that will be fun like to park a friends house, or just around the block a few times NOT the vets. Also can get car sick if allowed to get to hot This will take alot of time to get dog use to but will happen

Yes puppies can get travel sick either male or female pups, you have to get them used to travelling bit by bit, my pup used to be dreadful every time she went in the car, but we used to just drive a little way up the road and then lengthen each journey a bit and now she is 7 months you can't keep her out of the car, she can travel long distances without problems, it just takes time.

Yes puppies can get travel sick just the same as adult dogs. Do not feed them before you go in the car that should help.

Oh yes! As odd dog 1 said, try taking your puppy on little journeys first. Best if one person driving and puppy on your knee in back seat so he can look out of the window while you reassure him.You can get tablets from the vet if you really need to but best if you can do without.

some can but it is usually not motion sickness as more nerves so make her comfy in a crate and give a dry bix to chew on dont feed before travelling and start with short journeys and praise her when you stop and make it fun not just say a trip to the vet so she gets apprehensive about traveling because a dog will associate the travelling with either joy or intrepidation
