I know everyone who deos believe in Hell thinks it will be partying all the time..It will actually be nothing but a tortuous non stop fire. The bugs will be eating at your skin and your eyes out. The Bible says weeping and gnashing of teeth...It's not like buring your finger either. It will be 10000 times a normal house fire hotness. One day they will know the truth..then it will be too late..God forbid

Since you used my examples from another answer I gave I assume that you are directing that question to me. No, I do not think that hell is a joke. Hell is a fabrication. A lie, to put it in small words that people like you (that do not believe in grammar or punctuation) would understand. Hell was invented to scare people into converting and giving money to the church. Period. You have no proof that it exists. Orthodox Jews do not believe in Hell and Christianity was founded on Judaism. In fact, the Hell doctrine was never seen or heard of until Jews came into contact with the Greeks and the concept of Hades was introduced. By the way, how many sources outside the Bible prove that Jesus existed? Try reading your own church history sometime instead of wasting people's time when they are obviously smarter than you. (Also might want to try doing a few sit-ups before posting a picture of yourself without a shirt...)

Actually, since neither Janis nor Ghandi were repentant Christians, they'll be there according to your rules. Don't know about the central air. So will most of the great minds of Earthly inhabitance. If God condemn me to hell because his threats didn't make me "love" him, then I'll look forward to long discussions with Socrates, Aristotle, Ghandi and Euclid, to name a few.

People don't believe in hell because religion has taken the truth and turned it into something so horrible that people can't believe that a loving God would be so cruel and unjust and this is why some choose not to believe in God Himself, false religions have painted God in a horrible way and for that they will pay dearly with their lives for turning people away from God instead of to Him. Hell is nothing more than the common grave of mankind where everyone who dies, good or bad, goes. From there the Bible promises a resurrection back to life for your former sins have been paid for. You will get another chance and without Satan's influence around or the wicked's. How the truth must hurt to those that give a thumbs down to it, just like when Peter told the Pharisees how they had the Son of God impaled so that they felt stabbed at the heart.

First off why would Janis Joplin and Gandhi be in hell?
second if people want to believe they will in their own time I know your trying to do a good thing but shoving religion down someones throat won't make them swallow it any faster you have to let people figure out their own way

I agree with you, a lot of visitors to Yahoo! Answers seem to have no idea what wrath is building up for ignoring the gospel.
You all are in my prayers. Think about my motive, I'm never going to see or meet any of you, but I don't want anyone to go to hell. You can choose to hate or curse me, or think I'm an idiot, I don't care
I'll be a fool for Christ.

Well, of course "ourselfs" wouldn't be able to wake up... WE WOULD BE DEAD. I'd rather be saved from people who constantly use hell as a way to convert people... crummy recruitment tactic you christers have. You think you'd focus on all the good things about Jesus, not just the lake of fire. So, yeah, I think hell is a joke.

Asker: some do, some do not! It takes alot of people to make a world go round today! Each one has an opinion.

I personally believe the Bible. Not everyone will.

Lets practice true Christianity and LOVE people through the spirit of God, not push people. I only offer this because you are a brother in in the Lord. The bible says to counsel your brother when he is wrong. I offer no direction to others.

I have seen recently a stronger tool of evangelism is to respect and listen to their opinion, even if its not a biblical opinion. They want to be respected, just like us. Listen to their opinion! Offer advice when asked. I know its tempting to offer even when you are not asked. But try not to push! We dont expect perfection of each other, but I do suport you, brother to look at yourself and get honest about your motives and methods! I mean you no harm, brother!

God BLess you my brother!
