Hey Genius

Dear back pain or neck stretching is the mostly sign of survical problem. It is due to tensions, stresses, bad posture or ur daily habitual action to deal with ur work means how u do ur work with bent posture. So if u want to get rid from it then do some yoga exercises when u wake up. by this u stretches ur body then ur muscles will pull out then u feel better then otherdays. Or decrease ur tensions happy in any situations of ur life. Ya, like other answer i agree with them that ignore pillow. Do some exercises of neck also.

If you are over thirty see a doctor now.

If under 30, rest, massage, give cold hot compression Over the counter medications, creams pain killer pills......

Check neck and back support use them during the day also, find more comfortable position during the day time, while doing any thing,(lifting, moving, seating resting) and before bed time on bed.

Allow a week or two. If not see a doctor.

Yes! especially when the weather is like it is today: damp and rainy! The minute I wake up, after a night of twisting and turning and having a battle royal with my pillow, I am acutely aware that my "enemy "Arther Itis" is alive and well and is killing me. My cure consists of a Hot, and I do mean H O T shower. Unfortunately I live alone" so I have to massage my own neck, take one Advil, and voila, I'm as good as ever.

I'd try a memory foam pillow and see if that doesnt help. If not maybe you should have your neck checked out if a disc is out of place even a little can cause that.

You cant help you posture when asleep. Try puting Tiger Balm paches on the sore spots when you go to bed, you'll be amazed at how much better you feel.
