okay, i just finished my date with one of my friends which was my first date ever. I asked him what we were considered to be while we were cuddling. At first, he said he did not know. Then he said we were just friends. He likes me and i like him, but i just don't know. And please respond with serious answers. (Note: no sexual activities occured on date)

Cuddling is good, but could still be just friends. Kissing is the thing, friends don't kiss (except on the cheek). Don't be too quick to put a label on you guys; go with the flow and just enjoy it.

If cuddling took place. Then, that means that you two are "dating". You're not yet officially gf/bf until both of you agree to this mutually. (be aware that, either one of you technically, still has the right to date others while dating each other since no official declaration has yet been announced between you two; so, you better check with him if you both should be dating each other exclusively) You should know your status by the time of the 5th date. Some couples move faster than others. That is for you two to decide and discuss. Good luck.

Well he has said you are just friends, maybe he said this to get a reaction or maybe that is all he is ready for or used to. Maybe you should see if he asks you out on another date, usualy after about 3 dates you will know where the relationship is going.

friendship is a special gift from god . and if it's met to grow it will. so remember a true friendship will last a life time . a fling will be forgotten in the end. so take it slow and see what develope. just because you take honey doesn't mean you want the bee's too. i have one man we have been friends for over 30 year's we've been more than frined's . but we except each other for who wwe are . not what we might bee. i have seen him go throu three marriages . but we are still close . i share his sorrow's and his joy's . thats what is so special about friendship. it'll last a life time and more .

One date does not make a couple. 20, and with no one else, almost certainly. Don't be in too big a hurry to be a couple. Haste makes waste.
But these are wasted words, of course. We all have to learn the hard way.
