sometimes I pass people on the street and they look so sad especially the homeless I got to talking this evening with a lady who always ask for money around town she calls me her angel as for some reason 2-3 times a month I seem to run in to her . I stop and talk with her when I can and give her a couple dollars this has been going on about a year and this time I talked with her about trying to turn her life around and get off the streets living from place to place she has been through alot and can't find her light at the end of the tunnel. We never know what anyone is going through or has been through and with the holidays coming it is especially hard for many. reach out to someone if you can even to just go out of your way to say hi volunteer to feed the homeless or buy a toy for a child in need it will make you feel better as well as the person be aware of con artist though they are also out during holidays

I understand they use it for cigarettes wine etc at times sometimes it's just food but I decided long ago if I'm going to help not to wonder what they use it for as if I was homeless i would want to stay drunk i know it's a vicious cycle once started hard to end but you never know maybe your one act of kindness may touch a lost soul and help that person to come back into society as a productive member. anyway the bible says you never know
"Let brotherly love continue.
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares".

I offered my place in line to a guy who had less items than me, and he was so shocked, he offered to pay for my items! (I didn't accept), but then I was shocked at how nice he was! Sad, that we both were shocked at simple politeness, isn't it?---Today, I saw an old man carrying a gas can and walking, and offered him a ride, he smiled so big, and said no thanks, he didn't have far to go,but he brightened up, just having someone offer.........yes,sometimes complete stangers cheer me up on my bad, sad, days.......a kind word can make or break you ,some days..........

i don't provide money to panhandlers anymore. you will possibly as nicely hand them a six-%. or a carton of cigarettes through fact maximum often that's the place you cash is going to. we've nutrition, defend, and outfits for all the homeless in my city and that they understand the place they might circulate to get the help they want. engaged on the defend or nutrition kitchen is an remarkable thought. i will try this. or possibly merely donate money immediately to them as then a minimum of that is going to likely be used properly. It have been given tremendously chilly out this evening and that i become merely thinking how grateful i'm for having a house below my head and nutrition in my abdomen. I each so often ignore the reward that I do have in my existence; the failings I too often take with no attention. thank you for pointing out my own selfishness and what's incredibly significant in existence. assisting others above your self! Amen.

thanks for the advice. and good for you for getting out and helping people, but be aware that some homeless people you give money use it for things like drugs and alcohol, not for turning their life around. just remember that!
