I fear it was a tick. If you still have the bug you threw in the waste retreave it and take it with you to doctor so they can determine if it had lyme disease.

Early treatment can prevent bad symptoms that resemble arthritis.....

No, unless it happened to be a fly, it did not lay an egg...(don't watch horror movies). At this time, heat (a hot compress will remove the bruising)...you can also apply meat tenderizer if there is a bite mark...but heat works best....If it happens again, was area with vinegar first...then dust wound with baking soda. If you had been walking around shrubbery, you might have been bitten by a tick. If so the head may still be in the wound. A check by a nurse or physician is a good idea because of Lyme disease.

That's a tick, and you made a big mistake pulling it out. The bruise-looking thing means the head is still in there. Tell your parents and your doctor RIGHT AWAY. But it needs to be taken care of ASAP. When you go to the doctor, check with him/her about Lyme disease.

go to the doctor, it could be a tick bite and they can give you some nasty infections.
