I dated this woman for 6 months and just found out. I find this very narrowminded that she expects for all to believe the same way she does. If she did not think anything was wrong with it, then why didn't she tell me before we became involved.

Why would it matter what race she has dated? It was history before you, so why should it matter? Do you feel differently about her since finding out she dated a blackman? If so, that's kind of racist if you ask me.

She's ashamed and thought you'd judge her. So what if the guy was black. I don't believe the color of skin should matter as long as a person is decent and good. And why does she have to tell you everything from the start? Did you tell her how many one night stands you had or how many times you mistreated someone or whatever. It's not your business. Maybe she didn't think it was an issue. Maybe she thought you were understanding and non judgmental. Maybe she is wrong about you.

The woman cares about you. She considers you a possible long-term friend or love. We all are fearful in the beginning, and even a year is the beginning. She wants your appproval and used wise discretion to be still until she was comfortable you would not be negative. Please do not judge, we are all fearful in matters of the heart until we feel, in our own time, we might be acceptable as we slowly reveal ourselves to another. Someone cares about you. Be grateful for that.
