Kerry is a phony, a traitor and unamerican. He doesn't rate that silver star. He is no hero, just an opportunist, was then, is now. He should be tried for treason. Every combat marine in Vietnam was more of a hero than that jerk. They didn't get silver stars though. His wounds were petty and unworthy of three purple hearts. Who gets to go were they want to, and leave when they want to in a combat tour. Only Kerry and Gore could do that. I'm a former FMF Navy corpsman and proudly served with 3d Marine Division in Vietnam.

I'm currently in the Army stationed in Afghanistan and have been to Iraq so I'll chime in with vet status. Kerry is a politician now and probably was then. He would do anything, say anything to get his name in the paper. He may have done a good job in Vietnam, I wouldn't know, to young. I have seen officers "earn" higher medals for the work of others than the ones working/fighting received. Who knows about Kerry's medals or how he served. SINCE he left the military his actions have not been honorable. If he runs for President I'd have to vote for someone else. He may or may not have been a good officer but from his actions and words he is not an honorable man.

I was a paratrooper-101st.- and I have all the respect in the world for the brown water Navy and the Seals. From what I can discern John Kerry was a hard charger as all elite troops should be. As was the Navy Airwolves. Any body that would put them troops down can kiss my Airborne *ss. Mr. Kerry did more than was expected.
As for Jacks comment he is full of crap. Hamberger Hill was in the Ashau Vally not anywhere close to where Mr. Kerry was working. I came home in 65, and at that time there was no dope in the 101st. While the 101st. was still paratroops I don't think there was any drugs until they started getting leg replacement drafties. So Jack you SUCK11

I'm not a Vietnam vet, but I'll speak for my dad, since he can't speak for himself (he's been dead for fifteen years). He would have thought the same of Kerry that he would have thought of Clinton:
Neither are worthy of even shining his boots. I'm almost glad he didn't live to see Clinton elected president, or Kerry run for president. It would have killed him.

Here's a story I like to make up just to rile some of those Kerry believers.
One time near Hamburger Hill after 3 hrs of fighting, Kerry came up to me and told me, "Hey, I've got the best weed you'll ever smoke.!!" So, we smoked our brains out for around 30 minutes and all of a sudden, we found ourselves surrounded by these gooks. But we managed to escape. My opinion? He's a total geek

I can only base my personal thoughts on him from what I've heard or read about him. Based on assumptions he is a liar and nothing but a self-serving politician. Documentation from others that served in the same boats as he did other then his own crew I can't for the life of me realize that he earned the military metals he claims he has. My feeling is that he put himsdelf in for unearned honors. I wouldn't or couldn't trust him on that basis.

You know honey,,, i try not to look down on people,, there were a lot of guys in that dirty war.. and yes some used it to move up in the social status..
If he would just tell the truth, and get his foot out of his mouth..
If he would give a speech, as good as the one he gave when he got beaten in the last election, he could have won .....
That was the best speech he gave during his whole campaign...
I think that he will not get the nomination next time though?? but time will tell....

Post Vietnam Vet and I think anyone who stabs his fellow G.I.'s in the back then and his latest comments suggests someone with a high degree of contempt for the military. As for him..Loser Cry Baby who craves attention at any cost. No friend of the military. Thank You! Happy Vets Day!!
